Cheap room with fridge and cooking facilities - close to the only part of Santo Domingo worth visiting (zona colonial). Room was clean but run - down. Air con worked (but wasn’t necessary). Quiet location. Good if you want the local experience (no English spoken)

Very central, in Zona Colonial and steps away from El Malecon. Relatively safe to walk at night. Near restaurants and corner shops. My favorite was Konvite Haitian Restaurant.
